City of Cambridge is the oldest town rowing club on the Cam. We take pride in our heritage, bringing people together through competition and friendship.

We have one of the largest clubs in the region with a range of squads for all levels. Whether you want to learn to row, meet friends for a paddle or compete at national regattas, City has a place for you.

6th July 1972 – 30th May 2016

Ben rowed with City in the early 90's inluding earning both blades with M3 and rudder with M6 in the 1994 town bumps. He went on to row for Kings College London whilst studying medicine at university and was awarded full colours for rowing. Ben is largely responsible for the involvement of the other members of his family rowing.

Unfortunetely Ben lost his long battle with cancer at the end of May, leaving a wife and two children. His funeral will be held on 10th June at the church where he was married in December.
