City women are Head of the River

One thing that was not in question at the conclusion of this weeks CRA Town Bumps was who held the Head of the River in the womens divisions.
City women defended the title held since 2008 with style crossing the finish line easily ahead of nearest rivals Cantabs.

City second women rowed with great character holding fourth place on the river against a strong challenge from Cambridge Veterans. The club awarded the crew the John Henry Credland Cup, awarded annually for the greatest contribution to the bumps in the club for their efforts.

In spite of entering the largest number of crews from one club in the history of the event with 23 crews, 12 men and 11 women, City gained 32 places and finished second in the John Jenner Trophy (which is intended to reward the smaller clubs).

City mens 9th (juniors) and 11th boats were the only crews to achieve over-bumps in this years competition and also bumped every time they raced winning their blades.
