City women remain Head of the River

One thing that was not in question at the conclusion of this weeks CRA Town Bumps was who held the Head of the River in the womens divisions.

City women defended the title held since 2008 with style crossing the finish line easily ahead of nearest rivals Cantabs.

In spite of entering the one of the largest number of crews from one club in the history of the event with 21 crews, 13 men and 8 women, City gained 16 places and finished fifth in the John Jenner Trophy (which is intended to reward the smaller clubs).

City mens 11th boat was the only crew to bump every time they raced winning their blades, and also being awarded the John Henry Credland Cup, awarded annually for the greatest contribution to the bumps.
