The 20th April 2013 marked the 150th anniversary of the formation of City of Cambridge Rowing Club, the oldest town club on the Cam. Thank you to everyone who made the occasion such a great success. Here's to a historic year to come, and many more to follow.

Sara & Lindsay win Pairs head

Sara Dietz and Lindsay Hamilton won W IM3 double sculls at pairs head on 4th October 2014.  

In addition  Ian Watson and Jack Lawlor-Anderson finished 2nd in Masters B double sculls, finishing 28th in the whole event. Ben Redman and Barney Price finished 2nd in IM2 coxless pairs, and Sarah Airey and Kate Hurst finished 6th in W IM1 double sculls.

Boat Naming and Memorial

On Sunday 21st Spetember City will be hosting an afternoon in honour of Cranch Lamble.

At 2pm his family will be officially naming the new Filippi 8+ after him followed by a row down to the Long Reach where his ashes will be scattered. 

CCRC would like to invite the enitre membership and their families to attend the event and any others that would like to pay their respects. After the boat naming and row the bar will be open for drinks in order to celebrate his life and commitment to City of Cambridge Rowing Club. Smart dress and club blazers are encouraged. 


2014 AGM & SGM

The 2014 Annual General Meeting and Special General Meeting took please in August.  

At the AGM the membership voted Jack Lawlor-Anderson as overall Club Captain for the 2014-15 season.  James Peoples and Sabrina Peoples were elected as Vice Captains, responsible for the Mens and Womens sides of the club respectively.

City of Cambridge Rowing Club regrets to announce Cranch Lamble sadly passed away on Thursday 7th August.



7th May 1977 - 7th August 2014


City women remain Head of the River

One thing that was not in question at the conclusion of this weeks CRA Town Bumps was who held the Head of the River in the womens divisions.

City women defended the title held since 2008 with style crossing the finish line easily ahead of nearest rivals Cantabs.
