The 20th April 2013 marked the 150th anniversary of the formation of City of Cambridge Rowing Club, the oldest town club on the Cam. Thank you to everyone who made the occasion such a great success. Here's to a historic year to come, and many more to follow.

Fourth at Inter-Regionals

The club was represented by Pernille Nielsen at the national Junior Inter-Regional Regatta. Pernille raced in a composite eight formed by scullers from six regional clubs selected from the regional trials. Despite limited time together and all being new to sweep rowing, the girls came second in their heat to go through to the A Final. The fight for the silver and bronze medals was extremely close, with Durham ARC, Lady Eleanor Holles School and the Eastern Region composite going through half way level. Pernille’s composite crew finished 4th, a huge achievement at a major national race.

WeHORR Results

Congratulations to both City crews who raced Women's Eights Head last Saturday. It was a sunny, calm day on the Thames and we had some great results.

W1 finished 41st, the fastest crew from Cambridge and 4th in the Provincial Pennant.

W2 moved up a massive 67 places from their start position to finish 127th, racing strong and overtaking crews on the course.

Strong performances at Eastern Region trials

Pernille (WJ16 1x), Camille (WJ15 1x) and Katherine and Becca (WJ15 2x) attended trials for the Eastern Region team. All four raced brilliantly to produce some very competitive results, which stand them in good stead for the coming season.
