In 2010, after having a nice couple of days out at Henley Masters (in which we were beaten by a bunch of former Olympians) a plan was formed. Next year we would come back. We would enter a younger event (when all the Olympians would still be busy being Olympians). We would practice.



City qualify for Thames Challenge Cup at Henley

City of Cambridge rowing at Henley 2011Following 2010's success at Womens Henley, City once again sent crews to Womens Henley, Henley Royal and Henley Masters Regatta in 2011. All crews produced competitive performances.

The Senior Women's squad sent a quad and an eight to Womens Henley, competing in the Senior Quads and Intermediate Club Eights events respectively.

On a proud day for City of Cambridge Rowing Club the women's coxed 4 of Sara, Fi, Lindsay & Chiara, with Renae coxing, won The Lester Trophy (Intermediate Club Coxed Fours) at Womens Henley  Regatta.

Down off the start and trailing by a length at the 500m mark City began a relentless advance on Royal Chester to eventually win by 3 and a half lengths in a new course record of 5min 24. Congratulations to the crew and their coach Cranch, along with everyone who made this fantastic result possible.
