The club offers a range of opportunities for existing rowers and coxes ranging from those that want to compete at the national level to those who just want to get out in a boat.  We run both Men’s and Women’s squads as well as a Masters’ group and race in both sweep and sculling.

Each squad is divided into senior, intermediate and novice groups (British Rowing Levels 4 to 2 respectively) with each group putting together multiple crews.  Masters rowing is divided into those wishing to compete at major regattas and those wishing to row locally.

We offer:

  • A top class fleet with most of the boats used by senior (L4) rowers being new Filippis supported by an effective maintenance program
  • A 10 strong group of lead coaches who are mentored by the medal winning former team GB coach Robin Williams, MBE
  • Strength & Conditioning coaching for all
  • Cox training and support
  • Mini-training camps at the Cambridge Boathouse at Ely
  • An annual training camp
  • A new boathouse (rebuilt in 2019) with:
    • a large boat bay
    • modern changing rooms with showers
    • a fully equipped 16m x 8m gym and erg space
    • a bar and club room with a large balcony

Recent successes have included wins at Pairs Head, Wallingford Regatta and medals at the Masters’ Championships.  The club also competes at the various heads of the river, Henley regattas, World Masters’ Championships
