The 20th April 2013 marked the 150th anniversary of the formation of City of Cambridge Rowing Club, the oldest town club on the Cam. Thank you to everyone who made the occasion such a great success. Here's to a historic year to come, and many more to follow.

Plates at Bedford

M1 continue a successful weekend beating Xpress by a length and Bedford by 3/4 to win IM2 eights at Bedford Sprint.

Sava and Michal aded to their tally with a win in the coxless pair at IM2 and the novice A eight beat Norwich RC in a straight final by one and a half lengths.

The womens IM2 8+, novice double and Bex's WJ14 1x were also finalists in their events.

May was the first foray into a regatta season for most of the City juniors. The month started with a slightly chaotic and very exciting introduction to side-by-side racing with City Sprints, 400m outside the boat houses. Twenty juniors raced in thirteen different crews, picking up wins in ten of the thirteen categories. Congratulations to the following crews for their wins:

City fastest CRA eight

City's masters A eight picked up pots today for the fastest CRA crew at the Head of the Cam. Rowing in a tailwind the crew finished 6th overall in a time of 9:09 which was also the faastest masters time. 

The masters D eight scooped the second fastest adjusted masters time of 9:27.

Another win for womens novice eight

City womens novice pick up another pot at the Head of the Cam in a time of 11:51.

The crew was Sherry Haque, Jenny Gales, Jayne Kirk, Claire, Kirsty Scott, Stef Mullins, Linda Baston-Pitt, Sarah Parks & John Walley

Novices do the double

City novices got a clean sweep at the Radegund mile winning both mens and womens categories and taking second place in the mens novice eights.
