Learn To Row Course 2026
Dedicated to members new to the sport and wanting to discover their competitive potential, the Learn To Row course at City could be your gateway to the sport!

This is the annual Summer LTR course which takes place over 8+ sessions over 4 weeks in the Summer holidays, after which hopefully you'll land in the City Novice racing squad!
This is a great way in to the sport but if you're looking for a more casual, or all-year-round access to try out rowing take a look at our LTR progamme run with Cambridge Rowing Experience.

Already convinced? Rowing clubs are a great way to make new friends and CCRC has the most active social scene on the river. We have the best and most frequent parties on the river, and are one of the only two boathouses with a bar.
Why Learn To Row at City?
We have been very successful with our beginners programmes- winning the beginners pennant at the biggest women’s rowing event in the world and coming second in the equivalent men’s event.

There are loads of exciting opportunities to race across the year. For example, we have consistently qualified development crews at the world’s most prestigious women’s regatta - Henley Women’s Regatta.
