MASTERS
City has a thriving masters scene with regular crews racing on and off Cam.
Mission
City of Cambridge Rowing Club has a vibrant Masters rowing group covering both men and women members ranging from Masters A (average age over 27) to Masters F (average age over 60). The group is largely made up of experienced rowers many of whom have previously rowed in the senior squads.
In recent years, the club’s Masters have had a lot of success with crews regularly winning or making the finals at Henley Masters Regatta, winning medals at the British Rowing Masters Championships and achieving top three rankings at events like the Vesta Veteran Head and Pairs Head as well as winning events at regional regattas.

While many of us love racing we also value the social side of rowing and have regular events at the club where members can mix and unwind, and recreational rowers are welcome too.
Training
Training varies across the squad with some crews going out once a week and others more frequently, as well as taking part in ergs and land training.

To be included in crew for prestige race (eg Vesta Vets Head or Henley Masters) rowers will typically commit to several sessions per week, but for other races (especially the on-Cam ones) the requirements can be much looser.

And of course if you're a competent solo sculler you can make your own schedule!
